If you have always considered the possibility of  preparing an opposition 2018, it can be a very good year for you. The public employment offer that has been announced is one of the most extensive in recent years. Correos, Aena, Hacienda, teachers, professors ... If you are one of the latter, you are in luck because the secondary school exams are the ones with the most places.

Deciding to prepare an opposition to be a secondary school teacher can give you a fixed position as a teacher in schools, colleges and institutes in our country. So if what you want is to  opt for one of those places the best thing you can do is start preparing . An opposition is not something simple and all study time you can get will be one more point in your favor for the exam. Program your study and sink your elbows, and do not forget to practice for the exposure test that you will face if you go to the second phase of testing.

But before you start doing anything, there are some things you should know . As you can imagine there are some requirements that you must meet if you want to be able to choose one of these oppositions. The first of all is to be Spanish or from a country belonging to the European Union . There is also the possibility that you can opt if you are part of a state that has treaties with Spain for the free movement of workers.

Also if you want to opt for one of these competitions you must be at least 18 years old and you can not have exceeded the retirement age. Besides, you have to be able to perform these tasks and not have previously been separated from the service in the Public Administration by a disciplinary file. You also can not be part of the body of officials at the time of the opposition.

And regarding the training? It will be enough to present your degree : doctorate, degree, engineering, architecture or degree of corresponding degree. But you will also have to have pedagogical and didactic training or you will not be able to access it. You can take any of the specialized masters in secondary education and training.

In case this is the first time you agree to a process of opsición you should know that the oppositions for professor depend on the government of each autonomous community . In this way not all communities establish the same dates for exams, this is something that you have to take into account when deciding where and how to present yourself. We show you the list of all the autonomous communities with their corresponding dates, although you will have to be aware of some that have not made it public yet.

• Andalusia: There are 5,404 places organized. The dates are still unknown.
• Aragón: The places called are 763. The tests will start on June 23.
• Asturias: 459 places have been called but the date of the tests is still unknown.
• Canarias: The date of the tests to access the 1,000 places called for the islands is still unknown.
• Cantabria: There are 187 places called. The date of the tests is not yet known.
• Castilla-La Mancha: 1,013 places announced with the access tests scheduled for June 23.
• Castilla y León: There are 1,533 places called by this autonomous community and the date for the start of the tests is June 23.
• Catalonia: There are 2,000 places called but the date of the access tests is unknown.
• Ceuta and Melilla: For now we only know that there are 70 places called for Melilla but there is no information about the tests.
• Comunidad Valenciana: 5,000 places are planned for secondary school but an official call has not yet been raised.
• Extremadura: The community offers 1,267 places and access tests begin on June 23.
• Baleares: There are 607 places called but the date of the tests is still unknown.
• La Rioja: This community offers 306 places, however the dates for the tests are unknown.
• Madrid: The exact number of places held is still unknown, although it is known that they will be more than 1,000. There is also no data about the date for the access tests.
• Navarra: Around 247 seats are on offer but the dates of the tests are unknown.
• Basque Country: The 21st and 23rd of June will begin the entrance tests to the 1,511 places called.
• Galicia: There are almost 2,000 places called by the autonomous community. The dates of the tests are still unknown.
• Murcia: Access tests for the 506 places for the autonomous community will begin on June 23.
